Abstract

The past decades have witnessed a great advancement in the field of clinical pharmacy education and training. Despite being a well-established service long ago in the developed countries, Drug information centers are beginning to emerge as a new service in the Middle East and Arabic countries. Launched in October, 2014, FADIC combined the idea of drug information centers with the flexibility of Internet-based services. Definition of Service: FADIC is an online drug information center, available in both Arabic and English language. All the team members are board certified pharmacotherapy specialists (BCPS). It aims at improving the quality of medication use practice and increasing healthcare awareness. As FADIC offers a variety of online training, it holds online conferences to help pharmacists stay updated with the latest in clinical practice. One of the essential programs provided by FADIC is the “Drug Information program and workshop”, with four successful runs so far. All FADIC team is available to answer any inquiries, providing evidence-based recommendations.
