    Abstract

    This text provides the first full transcription of the journal of John Tennent, an apprentice who lived in Coleraine at the turn of the eighteenth-century. It is a fascinating source that provides an insight into the experience of growing up, the daily life of an apprentice, and town life in eighteenth-century Ulster.
