Abstract

Reports on a project by modostudio to turn a former military area into a viable public space; the aftermath of the 2009 earthquake produced a need for regeneration and revitalisation. Circular edges define functional areas providing playgrounds, a market square, parking, church, sports area, and a theatre which will also house an installation commemorating the earthquake.
