Abstract

ITV is braving a critical response from critics and viewers over its new entertainment program, The Nightly Show, which has moved the news bulletin to a 10.30pm slot. The aim was apparently for a British version of the popular American late-night chat shows. So what is ITV doing wrong? And what would it take to succeed?
