Abstract

This presentation, titled "Writing Your Teaching Philosophy," provides pharmacy educators with a framework for crafting an effective teaching philosophy statement (TPS). It explores the key elements of a TPS, emphasising the alignment of teaching goals with instructional methods and the significance of evidence-based, purposeful teaching. Participants will learn to articulate their teaching purposes, goals, and philosophies, integrating modern pharmacy education strategies. The session highlights teaching as a multifaceted skill encompassing knowledge, skills, and attitudes while introducing practical "Teaching and Learning Toolkits" to enhance teaching effectiveness. Educators will leave equipped to use their TPS for self-assessment, continuous growth, and fostering student success.
