Hertfordshire Business School has been offering business degrees since 1965, and has established an excellent reputation in the field. The school prides itself on the vocational relevance of its programmes, and focuses on providing education that prepares our graduates for their future careers. This is achieved through our strong links with industry – allowing us to draw from both theoretical and practical advancements in the field when developing our programmes.

The business school is home to a thriving research community, which includes the following specialist research centres with an international reputation in their field:

  • Global Economy and Business Research Unit (GEBRU)
  • Finance and Accounting Research Unit (FARU)
  • Management and Strategy Research Unit (MSRU)
  • Employment Studies Research Group Unit (ESRGU)
  • Sustainable Business Practices Research Interest (SBPRI)
  • Creative Industries Research and Consultancy Unit (CIRCU)
  • Systems Management Research Unit (SMRU)
  • Statistical Services and Consultancy Unit (SSCU)
  • Group for Research into Organisational Evolution (GROE)

The business school has around 900 students at postgraduate level or undertaking research, has specialist suites for teaching the MBA and DBA programmes and also offers dedicated space for postgraduate research students.
