I am a lecturer in English Language & Communication and also work with the Languages department to deliver beginner Spanish to level 4 students. In my doctorate I investigated code-switching in a corpus of naturalistic spoken English/Portuguese (Brazilian) which I collected and coded myself. My research interests lie in the use of corpus linguistic methodology to investigate (bilingual) language and more recently I have been involved in using eye-tracking technology to shed light on aspects of word access in bilingual children (and adults).
