Dr Charles Chemel


Dr Chemel is a physicist specialising in atmospheric science. He gained his PhD in 2005 at Joseph Fourier University, France, with a study of the atmospheric boundary layer over complex terrain. On completion of his PhD, he was retained as a fixed-term lecturer at Joseph Fourier University. In 2006 he came to the UK as a research fellow with the Centre for Atmospheric and Instrumentation Research (CAIR) at the University of Hertfordshire. In 2009 he joined the National Centre of Atmospheric Science (NCAS) Atmospheric Physics (formerly Weather) Directorate as a research scientist.
