Emma is the Clinical Lead for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Herts, which is one of the largest clinical psychology training programmes in the UK.  She sits on the programme's leadership team and takes responsibility for the clinical strand of the programme. She is registered with the HCPC, is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of Advance HE. 

Emma has worked in children and young people's services in Herts for seventeen years, latterly as a Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist. She has been actively involved in Children and Young People's IAPT since it's initial roll out, and is trained as a Children and Young People's IAPT supervisor. She is also involved in the transformation of Children's services in Herts. 

Emma co-leads the Professional Issues research stream on the programme, and supervises research in the areas of supervision, leadership and staff wellbeing. She also supervises research on family, children and young people's mental health.

Emma is an External Examiner for the University of Hull.

In addition to her doctoral training, Emma has postgraduate qualifications in leadership and supervision.
