John has divided his career between newspapers, magazines and education/training. He has worked on staff and freelance for a huge range of consumer and professional magazines. He has worked for National Newspapers in The UK and Australia including a long period on The Sun News desk. He has also done short course training for most major UK magazine publishing houses.
He has been in education full time since 2007.
He had a brief flirtation with politics being a local councillor for four years before being voted out, thus proving that all political careers end in failure.
