I am a Senior Lecturer in Children's Nursing and have particular research interests in both educational and clinical fields. I have current involvement as part of my Doctorate in Education, in learning and teaching enhancement through the development of digital resources and the exploration of empathy, person-centred learning for nurses and health professionals in children's nursing / neonatal care. My other area of research interest relates to investigating outcomes and experiences of premature neonates and their families / parents in the transition home from neonatal care and beyond in the community. I am part of a collaborative research team between UH and the University of Technology, Sydney that aims to explore this area in more depth. Finally, I am also part of a research team here at UH that focuses on the evaluation of the NHS England Youth Forum involving young people and disseminating the work through teaching and internal / external forums. Finally, I have a publication history focusing on learning and teaching (L&T) / digital technologies within nursing, narrative approaches to L&T and neonatal nursing advancements in practice.
