Dr Rosalind Fallaize BSc PhD RD



Roz joined the University as a Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics in April 2015. In June 2017 she commenced an academic staff appointment as a Research Fellow in Nutrition and Dietetics.


Roz graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Surrey, UK in 2011 and is a registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She was awarded her PhD in Nutritional Science from the University of Reading in 2015. Rosalind’s doctoral research on the feasibility and efficacy of gene-based personalised nutrition was conducted alongside the EU-funded study Food4Me ( at the University of Reading, where she continues to work part-time as a Research Fellow.


Her research interests include dietary assessment, eating behaviour, e-health, nutritional genomics, dietary prevention of chronic disease and health inequalities. Recently, she has collaborated with Crime Reduction Initiatives, the Salvation Army (SA) and Good Food Oxford, to advance the development of a UK wide strategy for the improvement of nutritional status in the homeless community.
