Professor Soraya Dhillon is a clinical academic with over 30years experience in teaching, learning, and research; as well as a health care professional with both national and international standing. Professor Dhillon Retired in October 2016. Her most recent achievements include the following: appointment as Dean of a new School of Life and Medical Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire (2012 - 2016); Foundation Professor and led the Royal Pharmaceutical Society accreditation (now General Pharmaceutical Council) of a new School of Pharmacy at the University of Hertfordshire (2009) and implementation of a National, European and International portfolio of postgraduate programmes for Pharmacy Education (2003). In the Health Service experience as Chairman of an acute NHS trust and successfully lead the development of the first Foundation Trust, Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in Bedfordshire Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire (2006) and launched one of the first Clinical Pharmacokinetics Services at Northwick Park Hospital Harrow UK (1989). Appointment the Patient safety Clinical study Group co-ordinator for the Eastern Academic Health Science Network (EAHSN). curretly working with the team to develop the EAHSN Patient Safety Collaborative and Chair of the Advisory board.
Current appointments: Non Executive Director and Vice Chairman The Hillingdon Hospital NHS FT, Non Executive Director NHS Digital and member Advisory Clinical Excellence Awards panel for North West London.
